Our story

We kept reading statements
that didn't add up.

Processor Freedom started with a stack of merchant processing statements and a pattern nobody wanted to name.

We come from payments. For years we sat across the table from shop owners - auto repair, plumbing, law, veterinary, fitness - and did the same exercise: take the statement, find the real effective rate, watch their face change.

The quoted rate would say 2.65%. The real number - the one hiding on page three, after the monthly fees and the padding on interchange - would say 3.4%. The difference wasn't going to the card networks. It was going to the processor bundled into their software contract.

We started calling it what it is: The Captive Processor. You didn't choose it. You can't negotiate with it. And you can't leave it without leaving the software your whole operation runs on. That last part is the lock, and the lock is the business model.

Every fix on the market said the same thing: switch platforms. Which is like fixing an expensive parking spot by moving to a new house.

So we built the thing we couldn't find: a bridge. A Chrome extension that reads the invoice already on your screen, a server-side pipeline that runs the payment on processors we hold direct relationships with, and a writeback that posts the result to the originating invoice the moment it settles. Same software. Same workflow. Different rails.

Today the bridge carries 500 operators and $400M in processing across 300+ platforms, with an average rate reduction north of 40%. Once a quarter we take a real statement and break it down in public - The Statement Reveal - because the fastest way to end a quiet markup is to keep saying it out loud.

Lower fees. Same software. No re‑platforming.

Send us a recent processing statement. We'll quote a custom rate in under 24 hours, with no obligation.
