Card numbers never touch Processor Freedom. Payments are tokenized in the processor’s PCI-compliant vault; the bridge only ever handles the vault token and the last four digits. Card-on-file and recurring billing run on the same tokens.

Surcharging adds a disclosed fee on credit transactions only (debit and prepaid exempt, capped at cost and never above 3%, registered with the networks 30 days ahead). Cash discounting builds card cost into list price and discounts cash at checkout - simpler rules, legal in all 50 states. We build the disclosures, file the registrations, and run the math so refunds and debit behave correctly. Done right, your net cost of card acceptance approaches zero.

The bridge stamps every charge with the originating invoice ID, posts it the moment funding clears, and handles partial payments, surcharges, tips, and refunds without breaking the link. On Tier 1 platforms this is a dedicated integration; on Tier 2 the universal bridge delivers the same outcome. Invoices simply mark themselves paid.

Refunds - full or partial - flow back through the bridge and post against the original invoice. Disputes surface in your Processor Freedom console with the evidence workflow built in, so you respond once, in one place.
